Zero Waste Week 2014: Blog post round-up

I’ve written a few blog posts over the last year or so about reducing household waste. As an ambassador for Zero Waste Week 2014, I thought it might be handy to have all the links in one place.

Cloth Sanitary Pads

Family cloth

Reusable kitchen roll, wet wipes and sandwich wraps

Reusable tea bags and infusers

Washable snack bags and apple cosies

Reducing water waste

EcoEgg review

These are just some of the posts I’ve written. More information about cloth pads is under the ‘Muff Fluff’ tab. You can also find hundreds of thrifty meal ideas under the ‘Recipes’ tab, including using up leftovers, growing your own food, and wasting less food.

Do you still use the reusable tea bags? If so How do they rate now you’ve used them a few times? Would you recommend them?

I must admit, we haven’t really used them much. We’re mostly coffee drinkers though. I wonder if they’d work with ground coffee? I might do a giveaway sometime with the ones we haven’t used. Give someone else a chance to try them out!

        That’s a shame. I was hoping for a recommendation. X

Oh, they are good! They do work well & made a tasty brew. It was just the emptying out bit that I wasn’t keen on but that might not bother other people.

If I made more effort, they could become part of our normal routine but they didn’t automatically slip into every day use, like some of our other eco alternatives have. Does that make sense?

Yes that does thank you. I think I’ll look them up and possibly buy one to try. Thanks x
