Honestly? This half term has been a bit pants. It’s chucked it down for pretty much the whole week and three of the four of us have got rotten colds. Despite our best efforts, the kids have been bored and we haven’t really done a lot.
My mum took the girls to the prom for a day. They had ice creams and fish fingers for tea and came home tired and happy. Yesterday my aunt took me and the eldest to Hobbycraft. We had a great day out and spent far too much money.
We’re also in the middle of decorating our upstairs loo. It’s only a tiny room but it’s going to be sonething really special. I sold some of the toddlers old cloth nappies so that we could buy a new loo roll holder and bog seat. It feels good to get it done. I’ll be blogging about this later.
Now from one end of the digestive system to thr other! Here’s what we’ve been eating this week!
MONDAY: chilli, soured cream, grated cheese and tortilla chips
TUESDAY: grillled mackerel, pittas, olives, sun-dried tomatoes with goats’ cheese and hummus
WEDNESDAY: felt too poorly to cook so ended up with tinned soup!
THURSDAY: lamb chops, jackets, runner beans, gravy, mint sauce
FRIDAY: corned beef hash with eggs
SATURDAY: spicy bean burgers in buns, salad and sweet potato wedges
SUNDAY: gammon, eggs, pineapple, oven chips and peas
