Everyone’s talking about the lovely sunshine we’ve had these past few days. Like lots of you, we’ve spent a large part of it in the garden. Someone gave The Husband some little tomato plants, so they’ve been planted out in the veggie patch and are settling in nicely.
We got the paddling pool out for the kids. That’s compulsory, isn’t it? They got their cozzies on, I scraped their hair up, slicked them all over in factor 50+, made sure they had their sunhats and knock-off Crocs. As well as the paddling pool, we also have a playhouse, trampoline, bikes, big grassy space for running around, gravel patch for digging, all the usual garden toys and plastic poop that comes with kids.
So WHY, OH WHY, FOR THE LOVE OF JEEBUS did the two of them spend the entire weekend whinging and bickering and complaining of boredom?! WHYYYYYYYYYYY?! If anyone can answer this question, you win my children. No, really. You can keep them. In the meantime, I’m going to lock the back door and pull the curtains. If I stay here very quietly, they might forget I’m here.
